 The Heart and Soul of Academia Secondary School

Academia Secondary School in Windhoek is proud to serve a vibrant community of about 890 learners, spanning Grades 8 through 12. These students come from diverse backgrounds across Namibia’s capital region, bringing with them a rich mix of cultures, talents, and aspirations. From the moment they step onto campus, learners at Academia are encouraged to embrace not only academic excellence but also values like discipline, respect, and teamwork. The school fosters a safe and supportive environment where every student is motivated to push their limits and achieve their personal best, whether in the classroom, on the sports field, or during creative pursuits.

What makes Academia’s learners truly stand out is their eagerness to engage beyond academics. Many students actively participate in clubs and organizations, including the renowned Model United Nations (MUN) team, which has represented the school in national conferences, sharpening their debate and leadership skills. Sports also play a big role in student life, with teams competing in soccer, netball, and athletics, promoting fitness, teamwork, and school pride. Meanwhile, learners contribute to community service projects that teach empathy and social responsibility showing that Academia nurtures not just scholars but responsible, well-rounded citizens ready to make a difference.
